Default Back to factor settings

Hi Yall,

I have an old 8700c and want to wipe it completely clean. How do I do that?

Settings>Options>Security Options>General Settings then hit the menu key, then select "Wipe Handheld"
Playing with your phone is the best way to learn and if all else fails do a google search or search CrackBerry.

04stx,

Hello. Just a clarification on this: When you go this route and choose "Wipe Handheld", do you end up with (1) a phone with no O/S (essentially a brick), (2) a phone with an O/S but with no user data (blank Address Book, blank Memopad, blank Messages inbox, etc.) or (3) something else altogether?

Thanks.

2. Lol. You will still have whatever OS was on it, all the data will be gone. SMS,E-Mail, etc. Also, if it is unlocked it WILL remain unlocked so don't worry about that.

OK. Thanks. My 8130 has a problem with the trackball and the retailer gave me a loaner 8703e while they're having the Pearl repaired. I restored my data to the 8703e, so if I get my Pearl back I will just follow the steps listed here.
