I've recently purchased a unlocked and unbranded BB 8707 without any letters such as G or V. It is v4.1.0.347 and Platform 3.0.0.50. Would upgrading this to the 8707v or 8707g software work on the rogers network? And is upgrading it better then what I have. Please advise. Thanks

I updated and it works fine. I'm now able to download more apps such as the Facebook one. Pretty awesome. Thanks for your advice.
