Is the 8700g Quad Band or not?
On most sites that talk about the BlackBerry 8700g Specs, it is listed as a Quad Band phone (850/900/1800/1900).... Most sites. Right, except blackberry.com.
I am not allowed to post the URL, however simply google blackberry 8700g specs, the first hit is blackberry's website. Click on Specifications.
That page lists it as being only 900/1800, however its the only site that claims it is not 850/1900 as well.

Odd it is listed that way. It is a quad band (850/900/1850/1900mhz) phone.
