8700 series and os 5.0?

Is there any word that the 8700 series will get a 5.0 os? I google'd and got no hits and I was wondering if anyone else got word of it.

Only older device rumored to maybe be getting 5.0 is the 8330, however I think RIM is going to release it for newer devices only, Bold/Storm and up
