The company I work for gave me a redundant 7100v to play with. The phone was locked to, and is made to work with Vodafone UK.

I went to a Vodafone shop and they unlocked the phone for me for free at the desk. I have an O2 sim card in it now that I got with my PAYG iPhone, so it has unlimited free data. This 7100v has only GPRS, but I guess its looking for Vodafone's access points.

Can I cross flash with an O2 firmware onto this 7100v? Also is it possible to botch OS 4.5 onto these devices or are they just too old (I read up about the memory problem, but these threads were a bit old)

Many thanks, nick
