im a new blackberry user and my 7520 that i bought off of ebay has been giving me trouble with my text messages so i wanted to see if totaly restarting the phone would help
can you help me please

I'd recommend checking out the tutorials in the BB 101 Lecture area located here.

You may also want to post questions about a 7520 in the Older Blackberry section. 7100 series isn't going to be the same keys or setup.

Options / Security Options / General Settings / Menu / Wipe Handheld will remove all your personal information and restore the 7520 to factory-out-of-the-box condition, without changing the OS you have loaded.

There is a way to delete the OS as well. If you feel you need to do that, be sure you can find a compatible OS and download it before you start. Then follow BMcClure's procedure in my sig.
