cant dowmload ringtone to my 7100i

i am new to the whole blackberry phone and i have been trying to download ringtones for my phone but it will not allow me..What am i to do??

Do you have blackberry desktop manager installed? If not, install it along with the roxio media manager it comes with. From there you could pretty much transfer any .mp3 file less than I believe 2.9mb onto the phone and use that as a ringtone.

the 7100i does not do mp3 tones it does .midi and .wav

the way i found that works is to create a wav file the same way as you would for other nextel phones and load it to a site to OTA it on your 7100i or you could go old school and get midi"s???
the manager only works if your BB has a sd card?? I could be wrong about this but it did not show up when i connected my phone to it

ok, question here...i tried connecting my phone to the computer and moving files that way as ringtones and it still does not work. what is the problem?
