Boost Mobile on the 7100i Service Books Install Guide

If you are having problems getting yout 7100i configured and working properly with Boost, I made a PDF guide to walk you through the process. In order to simplify things I have placed the guide as well as the required service books in a sticky on the following website:

You'll find the PDF guide and the service books in a sticky in the Phones Sections on the Blackberry on Boost thread. If you have any problems or questions feel free to PM me. I hope this helps everyone out. I offer no guarentee that this will work for everyone, but it has worked for several people so far and I will do everything I reasonably can to assist you in the process if you hit any bumps along the way.

i went to the site you linked and the Blackberry on Boost thread has NO posts what so ever. Is there another way you could send me the PDF guide?

You have to register for the other site before you can see all the messages.

I got it all downloaded and mostly installed so far...

I can't get it finished. I got a 7100i on ebay and put in my sim card from my boost 425i (pay as you go).

I've never had a browser on it and have erased and reset it several times. the BB software is 4.1 and the desktop software is 4.7.

I have the service book copied over and showing up on the bb. I did access the web using opera mini 3 for a few minutes. I activated web service for $.35 a day but haven't figured out if there's a minute charge on top of that.

The main thing is that when I go to the application loader nothing shows except for opera that i loaded myself but I don't see anything else there. I've gone over your instructions several times and I really appreciate all your hard work but I must be missing something.

Help please? I really want the text messaging working especially.

After many hours...

I ended up googling blackberry os 4.1 nextel and installing that. I got further than before then I started all over. I still don't appear to have sms but I have mms.

you dont have sms you will have only mms but you can send txts through mms also

I tried to get to the link with the boostberry setup pdf and am having no luck at all I registered to the forum site as well, can someone please send me the link or post another link so I can download it, or if you can send me the service books directly I would greatly appreciate it, I have a blackberry 7100I and would love to get the text messaging working. Thanks in advance.

Do I Need To Update OS.. Everytime i get to step 7 the window is blank

I just got my new (to me) 7100i, had to buy a new batt for it (radio was shutting off) installed the MMS_WiFiBrowser.ipd service book, set my IMEI number to my new blackberry device on boost mobile's website and BANG im up and going. Any ideas for good apps? im looking to get a nice GPS app. I had TomTom on my windows PPC and if they have a blackberry version that would be awsome. also looking for a all in one IM program to use all the networks, AOL, MSN, Yahoo and gmail. Free is a must, as I will not pay for third party softwares. been burned too many times...

does anyone know how to get the 7100i to show email notification or message notification? my wifes phone doesnt do either when she gets a message, and how to get logicmail to send a notification on the desktop of the phone???
