BB 7100 has NO startup, but good battery...

So, I have had this BB 7100 for a couple of years now that I acquired from a job I no longer have. I had it in storage for a couple years and when I plugged it in and charged it overnight, it won't Start up. I only used the phone for a few months before I turned off service so I don't expect that it's a battery problem... I think somehow the whole phone got wiped clean somehow... Anyway, I would like to get it up and running and convert it for Boost service. Does anyone have any help to get it up and going again. I have the USB cable, but none of the original desktop software.
