    Default Problems with 2g and 7.1 342_Cellcom_Wireless_Israel

    Hi,
    first i must to say that im spanish and my english...little bad....jeje
    I have bold 9900....its vodafone...but i unblocked because my operator is orange...
    3 days ago...i updated to 7.1 342_Cellcom_Wireless_Israel, from here...but...vodafone logos and theme appear still....and my principal problem....i cant select 2g option only!!! only can select 2g and 3g or 3g....what can i do???im desesperated.

    1) You have a Vodafone ES device, and it will always show the VF logo. Nothing you can do about that.

    2) Vodafone ES have blocked the 2G only option on all their devices. Nothing you can do about that either.

    ohhh....but if i install new SO official that it is not from vodafone...can i not use 2g???
    no there some way to can use 2g only????

    vodafone....grrrrrrr

    No matter which OS you install, your carrier has blocked the 2G only option.

    One of the major US carriers has done the same thing and it has been the subject of some discussion in the 9900 forum.

    Bottom line is there is no work round for it.

    If you want 2G only option you need to change your carrier.

    thanks legal eagle for your answer....but my phone is from vodafone but my carrier is orange...the phone is unblocked....some idea????

    It doesn't matter who your carrier is.

    The phone is from Vodafone ES, and they have blocked the '2G Only' feature from all their devices via the OS and service books.

    Once again... there is nothing you can do about it.
