Os 7.2?
I was just wondering that is there any chance of os 7.2 to appear before BB10?

I hope not! I want to see ALL RIM resources concentrated on BB10! ~ecm

Hope so, they need to continue support for the 7 devices, and come as close to bb10 as the device will allow. Not everyone will want a BB10 device at launch, I will not purchase a BB10 device at least untill the platform is a year old, proven and supported. Learned my lesson with the Playbook and being a first day buyer!

I hope so too, as RIM history has proven, it takes (on average) almost a year to "iron" out the bugs after a product is released. RIM should continue improvements on their present "flagship" device especially since everyone doesn't run out and buy the newest, latest, greatest, and best device......immediately

Is there going to be a 7.2 update? This is the first I've heard anything about it, and they seem to just be adding new features into 7.1. I don't really see the point personally.

Yep, that's why they delayed BB10 so they can work on OS 7.2 for all their year old phones... oh wait... that makes zero sense...

Perhaps there is a slim chance but the main thing is that they need to focus on bb10 and 7.1 is good enough.

Unfortunately there will not be an OS 7.2 or else we would've spotted early builds already.

I'm sure there will be.

Yes there are still some bugs. Maybe a higher 7.1 will do the trick. Only in the .550's now.

Though I agree RIM needs to focus on BB10 saying that 7.1 is good enough sounds like something Jim Balsile would say. There are still plenty of issues we can find in the forums that still exist. While alot are mostly user error most are software related and should be fixed.

OS 7.1 still consists of a lot of bugs, and instead of ironing those bugs, RIM has opted to add "new" features, eg the battery issue with OS7/7.1 is driving everyone insane, some are saying it depends on user's usage and installed or running apps, truth is, even if u got few or no apps, even with the latest OS update, the battery still drains faster then we can spell "blackberry" ........ And as for BB10 devices, let's hope RIM have leant a lesson with OS7.1, one thing though that's worrying me, in all the devices we have sneak pic as BB10....... They are all full touch, no qwerty keyboard? Imagine typing on BBM, FB, Twitter, Whatsapp etc with with a full touch? Tiring

Battery life on my 9930 is way better then even my iPhone. And I use it way more. All day usage, in my hand most of the day, 12 hours later and still 40 percent battery.

One of the worst things (If anybody disagrees please do reply) is the Other section present in the Application Storage that forces me to restart my cell (9810) for no reason
