Change Blackberry Id on OS7 device?
My wife just upgraded to a Torch 9860. She had a BB Id on her old Storm so I could use AppWorld for her but she didn't know her id existed.
The guy at the Telus store set-up her phone, but couldn't use her real email address/BBId to register her phone, so he made up a fake email address and used it to create a new BBId and registered her phone with this new fake BBId. Now Appworld and BB Protect on her phone is hooked into a BBId with an email address that doesn't exist.
I assume I need to change the BBId her phone is registered with, but its not clear how to do this. For a PB it looks like you need to reload the OS on the device, am I similarly out of luck here?
Any help is appreciated...

Thanks for the response. I've already tried to just update the BBId the way you've described,
but it tells me that one associated with a real email address already exists and that I have to
choose another. Unfortunately thats the one I want to use since my wife owns it and that email
address actually exists.
I guess what I want to know is if its possible to change from one BBId to another already existing BBId...
I'm thinking to go back to the Telus store, but I don't have a lot of confidence that they'd know
what to do either....

I realize that this is an older post and likely resolved, but...
Wouldn't simply logging in on the 9860 using the Storm2's BBID simply take care of the issue? That is, no need to create a new BBID or use the one that the Telus fellow made, just use the original one.
That's the method I used[d] to transfer Appworld Apps and BB Protect info from one device to another, HOWEVER, admittedly I didn't try that with a BBID "in between", if you know what I mean.
You didn't mention an error message that indicates the DEVICE is already linked to an email address (the fake one) as opposed to the email linked to another device, so I offered this suggestion. While I'd imagine you've already tried this, doesn't hurt to check.
Hope it all works/worked out.Klotar
