    Default OS6 and IMAP Folders

I haven't been able to find a yes or a no answer to this yet.

Does Blackberry OS6 support IMAP Folders? Can you configure an IMAP account via BIS and browser folders and organize your e-mail into said folders?

If you can, I haven't figured out how.

Darn. I was hoping OS6 would fix my only real hangup with Blackberries.

Funny thing is I noticed this missing feature only recently. Clearly I wouldn't use it much but man does it seem like something that should obviously be in BBOS by now.

Thanks for the info. How are you enjoying your Torch? I've got a Bold 9000 and I'm either grabbing a Torch or a iPhone 4 in a month. The iPhone 4 has only become an option because of it's full IMAP support. I'd still very much miss my physical keyboard

    Hi,

BES gives you IMAP folder browsing. Maybe look at getting hosted BES? Prices are around $9.95 per month + Exchange hosting.

I use the Enhanced GMail BlackBerry plugin. It sort-of gives IMAP folders. GMail uses subfolders as Labels. So 'Labelling' an email copies it to the folder.

You can also 'Star' emails which flags them in Outlook/Entourage. And you can search your GMail remote folders from your BlackBerry.

Proper IMAP support would be better!

There are 3rd party BlackBerry apps that support IMAP. My favourite is Tiggit Mail.

Wow I really wanted IMAP support like mentioned above. Will 7 support it? I think BB or RIM is missing out big with not having it. But like the OP said it is either BB or iPhone.
