    Default OS 6 VERY slow

My phone auto-updated version 6.0.0.431 onto my Bold 9650, and my phone has been slow to respond to commands for weeks, now. Every time I go to unlock my phone, it takes at least 30 seconds for the password screen to pop up. Then, once in, it is slow to respond to the track pad, my typing, button clicks, you name it! What's wrong with it? This is beyond frustrating now...

I have had this too. I waiting a few days after upgrading (.524), and several battery pulls inbetween. What a difference it made.

Possibly from updating over the air to the new version? My understanding is that updating over the air, instead of using Desktop Manager, causes the OS to take up more memory can cause issues. Might be worth backing it up, wiping it, and installing the OS from DM.

Thanks for the tidbit. I have never heard or thought about the extra memory. I noticed the old OS was still in the system for the first day (Options; Software Updates). After that it didn't show up in the files anymore I have assumed it was removes since I didn't downgrade to it, hence a lot of extra memory was recovered. Only my guess here. It's running very well now after four days and I am happy.

Just an FYI, but never install OTA. Use DM or the app loader method. Tons of info as to how here on the forum.

Wipe the device and reload the OS using DM or app loader. Never install OTA.
