Default How to terminate Not Responding apps?

Is there a way to terminate the apps that are not responding? Like something in Windows, we can bring up the Task Manager (in OS6, something like hold the Menu button) and then End the Task that is not responding.

Well, you can access escreens and use the process manager there.

But I'm curious how you know the app is not responding....

I'm sorry I'm not that familiar with OS6 yet. What do you mean by access escreens?

So far, the only app I encountered that is not responding is the Twitter for Blackberry. On the latest update, in which they said fix something for other Blackberry handheld that had problems with it (if I'm not mistaken for some Curve devices), it will freeze and can't be used for like few minutes. So I assumed it's not responding, just like the one in Windows.
So, when it happened, I had to hold the Menu button to bring up the apps that are running in the background, and then I clicked Home. After that, when you click again on the Twitter icon, nothing will happen. If after a few minutes, I still can't use it, this warning will appear.

Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_twitter(587) is not responding; process terminated.

This will get worst if you didn't restart your device for almost 2 weeks. I wish I could downgrade to the one version before the latest version as I didn't encounter any freeze or not responding with that.

Sorry, my reference to "escreens" was to the (hidden) Engineering Screens that can be accessed through some work. A good thread on them is here: http://forums.crackberry.com/tips-...se-512322-new/

I don't use the Twitter app very much, so I haven't seen similar behavior. But if you're looking for older versions you might want to check out rroyy's page here: Your BlackBerry Home Page since he has archived older versions of many apps.

No worries Yeah, and only Twitter for Blackberry caused that kind of problem, I haven't encountered that problem with other apps yet.
Wow...Thanks for all the helpful links. Really appreciate it

If you have the Memory Booster app it has the feature to kill apps in the menu.

or the old fashion way: pull your battery out. this will close all the apps except for the obvious ones: phone, email, bbm, browser, and homescreen

I take back the Memory Booster tip, I used to be able to do that but they must have removed the function in one of their updates. You can do it from the engineering screens but that is such a pain to get into.
