My 9700 used to take over 5 minutes on OS5. After upgraded to OS6, it take a little bit over 2 minutes.

I recently downgraded my phone back to OS5 (using bbsak wipe and clean install), and the bootup time is just 2.5 minutes.

My Torch usually takes 1min 45secs from the time the boot up screen comes on. One time it took 5mins plus so I decided to reboot it again

I am running OS .526 and I have 20 apps installed.

Lets see...From the time I insert the battery and it's recognized (red LED comes on) to after the sercurity tests are verified (when phone become 'usuable' again) it takes 4 min 46 seconds.

Now I'm going to delete some apps and see if that has any improvement.

    I'm running 431 on a 9650.

After removing several apps and 2 battery pulls before trying this test again, I didn't see a ntoicable improvement in boot up time. All that's left on the phone now arethe core apps and the handful I use several times daily.

New reboot time was 4 min 34 seconds. Not a huge improvement.

Running King v4 on my 9650 with 41 apps with an average boot time from red light to full security settings done at 4:35 (avged over 5 BPs).

I heard (read and believe) the more apps you have, the slower the boot time on that aspect of start-up. Something to do with app permissions, if I recall correctly.
