Does condition of 9700 affect the OS6?
I see people on this forum that's having trouble with the OS6. I was wondering does the condition of the phone affect the peformance of OS6 on your device? For instance I bought the 9700 earlier this week VS. People that may have had theirs for 3-6 months. The problems I've read, I never had a problem with anything.
The only thing that doesn't work for mine is the MyAccount for T-Mobile.

After reading you post, I am not sure what you did before installing OS6. I installed it as an update over OS5, didn't work so well. I did a complete security wipe and reinstalled OS6, still didn't work so right. The problems I was having after the install, the phone had to be cold rebooted serval times before it would even notice it need to start right. Once I finally got the phone to properly boot up, the icons were so tiny on the main screen. I still haven't been able to fix the icon issue. Then on the main screen I couldn't see the cusor while manuvering it around the icons. Over all, I had a hard time with it. Ok, some +'s...the phone calls were coming fine. When I finally got to the browser screen, the internet was working fine.
Buttom line, I am waiting for the next "leak" or the offical release.

My acct for t-mobile does work. The virtual preload that points your device to the download doest work. You have to get the actual .cod file and install in onto your device using bbsak or hybrid tool.

As soon as I got the phone I installed OS6 to my phone over OS5. Once I installed in the white screen with the tiny icons did pop up on the screen. Read around and got it fixed. It is working properly. I'm on my phone now so I don't have the link for you to fix that. But the fixes for the T-Mobile are under this 9700 topic
And where do I find the .cod file?

I installed this OS since day one of buying my 9700. Works flawlessly despite some negative comments I saw on other forums.
Startup time of the phone is amazing! The fastest! Battery life is beautiful. Browser is a pleasure to work on now........No complaints at all here! - 11-14-2010, 06:48 PM #6
The condition of my blackberry hasn't affected OS 5 on it at all. So even if it's not used for 90 years, it'll still work lol

Follow the instructions here to fix the 'white screen/tiny icons' problem.

OP, what do you mean by condition? If it's a little beat up on the outside, that won't affect anything. Performance is all about the internals
