Bold 9700 OS 6 Battery Issue
Well i have installed my OS 6 on my BB Bold 9700
everything works fine except battery
actually my problem is:
1.Batter drops rapidly in 15 minutes to 1%
2.Battery symbols converts in RED bar,
3.This 1% battery works whole day i.e. Device does NOT turn off.
4.Even charging does not changes battery percentage [still it remains on 1%]
5.Finally i have issue of 1% battery life with working all 12 hours
i want to stop that blinking red LED alert as well as want to know how much exactly battery life is
i am facing this problem since first leak .380
then .448 and then on .461 too.
please note that:
my brother also got same BB Bold 9700 and yesterday ;
i installed os 6.0.0.461 on his bb but he did not get any problem with battery
NO ANY TECHNICAL ISSUE WITH BATTERY
So please HELP ME! - 02-23-2011, 09:52 AM #2
The only battery issue I'm having is that I find myself using my 9700 more now then before. RIM is moving in the right direction with OS6.
I just hope they fix the memory leak soon.New York Yankees

Same Here
I also experience this issue on my Bold 9700 6.0.0.344. To get rid of the light and restore the correct battery reporting, just plug your phone into a charger (maybe USB too, I haven't tried that yet) and it will bounce back to the correct level. For me it usually happens around 45%. My battery will drop to 5% remaining until I plug it in for a couple of seconds.

Saturday, I installed the OS 6.0 Bundle 2342 on my 9700. Prior to that, my battery would run for an entire day without issue. I'm not a heavy phone user, so at the end of the day my battery MIGHT be at 75% (45% on heavy use days.)
Since installing the new OS, my battery drops to 75% within a few hours of removing it from the charger in the morning. It drops to 45% by lunch.
What is going on that is either
1. showing a false battery charge remaining OR
2. using so much of my battery's power with the new OS?
