Hey I have a blackberry 9700 that I upgraded to OS6. I LOVE the default theme except for the dumb side screens. (Favorites, Media, Downloads, Frequent)

Does anyone know of a theme that's like the default theme except it doesn't have those side screens?

Or an alternative that's even better in your opinion?

Also free themes only please.

I was going to make this exact thread! Haha.

Here's what I'm looking for:
-exact OS6 look and function
-no trays
-menu button opens up the "all" tray instead of bringing up a menu

I found one called leebo. Its free and kind of neat. Not what I was looking for but its cool.
Recommended.

I felt exactly the same so I created my own theme.

[FREE] Simple Brushed Steel + Weather Slot [OS6]

It's fully compatible with OS6 but uses the much better OS5 inference.

Very nice theme. Though, I have noticed when the battery is charging the little thunder icon is not flashing. Can you fix that?

Also, instead of 6+1 weather icon can you do 7+1 ?

i use tinybanner.. a theme that has a less cumbersome home screen banner (but keeps everything else [e.g. icons, etc] the same/factory stock).. search the forums for '(FREE) OS6 Tinybanner theme'

Tried it but found it to be a tad too cluttered.

Was looking for a exact OS 6 stock theme but minus out the annoying trays. Just the "all" tray would had been perfect. Also, just hate the "blue" highlight when selecting an icon. OS 5 "transparent glow" highlight was just awesome.

There are lots of themes out there which try to mimic OS 6 but one way or another end up missing certain features of OS 6. For example,
- the magnifying search bar won't be there
- the battery charging icon will not work
- the network provider logo will be missing
- just the all tray which pop-up wont be there
- the fugly blue highlight will be there
- lastly, won't be able to accommodate more then 3 new message icons

Nevertheless, I have settled for the following theme for the time being -

it has all the features working except the magnifying glass (darn..) and it doesnt look anywhere close to OS6 theme more like iPhone!
