All updated only have a couple apps since security wipe which was done a few days ago. Few minutes ago I try to go to Amazon app store and it loads the screen and sits black. I decide to just reboot my Z30 and it comes on as usual and it's frozen on the verizon boot up screen.[update: never shut down] I tried to do a hard reset but holding in the two buttons does nothing. I tried calling my phone and it rings but I can't answer.

First time I have ever had this happen. Can I open Link on my pc and restart phone from there?

i guess you have to wait for battery to drain and hopefully it will work
you posted before that your z30 it's slower after the update , you can have a defective phone but i would reload 10.3.2 via link ,sec wipe and start from scratch ,then you will know for sure if it's defective
and also my verizon screen it's red

I did security wipe. Phone was perfect for days.

try reload with link then sec wipe and load your apps one by one maybe you have an app that slowing the phone

How long should one have to hold both volume up and down for?

Remember I loaded up the Amazon app store to a black screen. I could close the screen but the Amazon app did not totally load. I closed it used my phone for a bit then just figured I would restart it. Grr

I hit the reload software and got this
"Initializing software update" and from there it told me no updates. I then unplugged or from the pc and plugged I back in I quickly hit the reload software at the bottom of page. It asked for my password then the light turned green. I pressed the top button waited and I seen BlackBerry then it loaded up the way it was before. Wtf

I'm wondering if I'm OK or should just do a security wipe for good measure.

I'm back on my z30. I'm afraid to do two things....try to load Amazon app and restart my phone. I will try a normal restart.

reload the os it will fix whatever it's freezing your phone , issues don't go away by themselves

I think I know what happened to my phone which made it freeze. When you hit restart the first thing you see is the Verizon screen (shown above earlier post) and it blinks on and then goes to restart. It never made it past that screen to restart.

Before this the amazon app would not load for me just go to black screen and sit there. I figure the phone wouldn't close the app first so it could reboot. When I connected it to my pc, hit the reset back to factory, told me to hold in the power button for the reset the phone went to a green light. I restarted and didn't restore and got my phone back to normal.

I think the amazon app was froze wouldn't close, so my phone would not restart.

I'm gonna use SNAP for my Android apps cause I'm afraid to try amazon again.

Hope this helps someone else with same problem.

reload the os it will fix whatever it's freezing your phone , issues don't go away by themselves

I think the Amazon App would not load and close. Maybe I should of just waited for it to load. I'm debating reloading os but will try it for a few days. Maybe even try the Amazon app again
