What other company would release an OS update and at the same time cripple the only way to back up a phone............Brilliant!

BlackBerry one step forward, three back.....................

UPDATE: After help from Blaze on the back up issue. (found out it was from apple). I called apple and was told that the patch was sent over to BlackBerry a few months ago, and that they have to post it.

    You have to love it!!!

    ITunes breaks Link on Windows.
When did this take place, with the new update? I always had both with no issues? Must be the new I tunes?

I uninstall itune and still won't let me. Registry must be stuck somewhere.

    Additional Information

Please note: Once the workaround has been completed, iTunes sync will not be available within BlackBerry Link.
BlackBerry really doesn't want you syncing music with iTunes, do they? First Android, now this...

I would love a new BlackBerry, but I still don't feel the BlackBerry/Android experience is there yet, and BlackBerry 10 doesn't have enough to keep me in.

I'm not sure I fully understand which way this thread went and why.
However, of the many nuisances that BB did to their faithful users, abandoning support for Link on W10 was probably the biggest one.
I almost understand the business need to stop in house device development and to focus on other, probably more fruitful areas.
But to 1st claim to 'not leave BB10 users alone', and then take away the option of backing BB10 devices up, is just outrageous imho.
I have to bring my BB10 device in for repair, and will lose every setting etc that took me days to establish.

And I'm NOT talking of backing up contacts and pictures - I know there are options.
I want to create an image of the device, and restore it, as it was, to a fixed or new device. This was possible with Link, and I'm not aware of any other solution that can do this.

Shameful abandoning of faithful long term users, BB.

Why You can't backing /restore your device? I'm using Windows 10 with Anniversary update and link works! On Mac El capitani it works! On Mac OS Sierra I don't know...but I think it should be possible to run on it! Let You have to search on Crackberry ' s forum and You'll find everything!

    I don't have a Mac.
You'll have to search on Crackberry's forum and you'll find that Link on W10 is no longer supported.
Congratulations on yours still working. Mine doesn't.

I removed the iTunes and link still won't open. It crashes. I am going to try with my laptop that never had iTunes installed.
