It's gonna sound crazy, but if WhatsApp and Skype are not available at launch, I wouldn't feel confident in the success of the platform. I, personally, could live without them considering the excellent platform that is BB10. I just don't know if consumer and developer confidence would follow without these gold standard cross platform communication apps. I'd have to wait.

Otherwise, I'm in at launch, hands down.

I answered No... but only because my VZW upgrade isn't until May. If the temptation gets too strong, I may have to check out off-contract prices. Would be nice if RIM and VZW worked out early upgrades to get more BB10 phones out there quickly. Really want a white one this time!

Yes...I live in Canada so I don't have to worry about if my carrier will be carrying it, it's just a matter of when they will have it in stock but since all the major retailers are also carrying it I suspect I should be able to show up to anyone of their outlets and get one without any issues. It's sure nice to see RIM releasing the device in Canada first for once!
