Sometimes I wonder if the Styx song, "Too Much Time On My Hands" was a secret foretelling of the tendency to armchair CEO in discussion forums?
"Now, I'm a jet fuel genius I can solve the world's problems without even trying
I have dozens of friends and the fun never ends
That is, as long as I'm buying
Is it any wonder I'm not the president ...?"

I'm probably going to have to buy through eBay or grey import. Our carriers here have not even acknowledged the launch next week. I can't imagine we'll be in the first wave, or the second, so I'm going all in with cash asap.

Yes! Happily I have an upgrade due in early March - although my husband has been hinting that Rogers might offer a deal on early upgrades for BB10. That would make me even happier.Power corrupts. Knowledge is power.

It's gonna sound crazy, but if WhatsApp and Skype are not available at launch, I wouldn't feel confident in the success of the platform. I, personally, could live without them considering the excellent platform that is BB10. I just don't know if consumer and developer confidence would follow without these gold standard cross platform communication apps. I'd have to wait.
Otherwise, I'm in at launch, hands down.

A simple no. Because I can't pay full price and my contract isn't up until late summer, early fall.Sent from me using my fingers. Be pantless in 5K. Febreze - for more than smells.

Are you definitely getting a BB10 device in Q1? Simple yes or no
I'm waiting a bit. My 9780 has more work to do until it retires. But I will upgrade eventually!

I answered No... but only because my VZW upgrade isn't until May. If the temptation gets too strong, I may have to check out off-contract prices. Would be nice if RIM and VZW worked out early upgrades to get more BB10 phones out there quickly. Really want a white one this time!New White Q10 (First physical keyboard!)

Yes...I live in Canada so I don't have to worry about if my carrier will be carrying it, it's just a matter of when they will have it in stock but since all the major retailers are also carrying it I suspect I should be able to show up to anyone of their outlets and get one without any issues. It's sure nice to see RIM releasing the device in Canada first for once!
