would like a change in icons

any chance that bberry will get rid of the stupid shadow box around the icons in the next maintenance release? IT makes the UI look horrible, especially on the qwerty phone. please crackberry team, put that as the #1 request. Honestly, didn't they purchase one of the most prestigous UI firms out there?

Is everything else they've done on BB10 not enough?

this is really a silly reason to start a complaint thread. The icons turn into programs when I tap them that's good enough for me, we have bigger fish to fry before I'm gonna worry about the icons. Updates should be coming I hope this is not on the priority list, at least not at the top.

I like the Shadow boxes. It makes the home screens look more organized and symmetrical.

LMAO only crazy one in here is YOU, crazy enough to get all wound up about the icons. Highly unlikely it will deter people from buying the device lol...well other than you i would hope people wont be so anally retentive about the icons

Lets hope Blackberry doesnt change them as its hardly a deal breaker for the majority of people out there.

no you are crazy. the border is to differentiate BB10 apps' icon from the other fruit company in case they get sued for infringement of icon design

If you don't like the shadow boxes just get, or make, a black wallpaper. Then Bob's yer uncle, the shadow boxes have magically disappeared.

I would like an option to turn off the shadow, personally. I can see how a shadow would be useful using certain wallpapers

We're back to this again? I thought we were past this... It was a hot topic for a while until the phone was released and people actually tried it out in person. For the record, I think it looks just fine. It matches the top and bottom banners and gives everything a uniform feel.
