There was a thread started a while ago about how when you delete an email on your BB10 device (from the hub and server), it doesn't just archive it anymore, now it actually puts it in the Gmail trash. I actually liked when it archived it instead, so I found a workaround. If someone already posted this, my bad for being redundant.

The first thing that I did was create a new Label in Gmail. I called it 'For Archive', but it doesn't really matter what it's named. Then, I went into the settings of my email account (from my phone), went to 'Edit Folder Settings', clicked the settings icon at the bottom, and then I changed the 'Trash' folder to my new label 'For Archive'. Now, whenever I trash an email on my phone, it just puts it in the 'For Archive' folder in Gmail, and I can leave them there, or truly archive them straight from Gmail at a later date.
