I have several custom word substitutions that I use for business for common emails that i receive. it seems to loose the desired format when using this function creating a huge run on paragraph? Does anyone know how to fix this?

Congrats on your new BB10 device! Remember to update your profile, as it still shows you have a Tour 9630.

Could you maybe post a screenshot? Press Up/down volume buttons simultaneously to take a screenshot on your Z10.

Otherwise my only suggestion is to explore the Word Substitution settings and the particular entry you mentioned. Perhaps there are different settings you need to tweak.
Beyond that, I can't give more specific advice... until I get mine tomorrow!

I'm finding the same thing. I have my address for a word substitution but I can't find a way to insert a <hard return> into the Word Substitution to allow for a break. Anyone have any ideas? I tried cut and paste but it doesn't work.

Ouch!! With Google Voice and Google Apps gone Word Substitution is about the only thing keeping me on BB ...! Does it now work anymore???

Has this issues been fixed in the latest update? I desperately need the ability to insert a hard break into my custom Word Substitution. I Have gone back to my 9780 and am waiting for this issue to be fixed before being able to go back to the z10

Doesn't appear to be. I've been in touch with someone at BBRY with some constructive criticism. I'll ask if this will be fixed or not.

This has not been fixed as far as I can tell. I do find if I add a "." then delete it I can move on. bit of a pain but that's all I can find so far.

Just a thought: have you considered making a word sub entry for each line/paragraph?

For example, if you're doing your home address you could all each line home1, home2, home3, etc. So you would just have to type home1, enter, home2, enter, etc.
