Will I be able to download for free my current paid apps that are on my Playbook onto my BB10 device? Same BB ID, and assuming the app is available in BB World for BB10.
It is for individual developers to decide for each application whether they will license "per device" or "per human".
I think it would be a yes, because if use my BBID on two differents PBs, I can download the same app on both PBs
correct, as long as people dont do the same BS they did with the playbok where (as a well puclicized example) IM+ was on BBOS, but if they`d simply added a PB version theyd av not made money from those moving their BBID (but a `update` to a listing goes thru in days, not the months they took), so they made a new product listing, which meant people had to pay again.
So if a dev adds it as and extra compatible device in the existing product on appworld, then as long as you have it on your BBID you wont pay twice, if devs bait n switch you with a new product listing, then you`ll have to fork out again for it.
It is completely up to the developer. If they attach it to the BBOS version in App World, then they can make it a try free upgrade. They can also charge an upgrade fee if they choose.
should be tide to your ID so maybe youkeep your apps through that might have to redownload them though.
If they fix the multiple IDs issue
(warning on the Dev devices to create a new ID)
Methinks that devs will want to make as much $$$$ as possible.
i have always pondered this myself. i can see my playbook downloads on my phone but it says "not avail for this device" im hoping i can but if i have to pay for them all over again i know which i use the most and which i barely use now so i wont have to spend as much money.
How about videos from the video store? Will they be free to download through Blackberry world?
