    Desktop Manager's version at the moment is 7.1 and that matches up with the latest BBOS 7.1, but when BB10 is released will it go to Desktop Manager 10 or go to 7.2 or around there?

    Maybe Desktop manager X.1.5 ? (<- X=10) or just 10.0 ?
    Or they rename it to 'BBX desktop manager'

    Hmm I don't think they would call it Desktop Manager 10 when BB10 comes out; Desktop Manager and the OS' are two distinct products

    It's technically "BlackBerry Desktop Software" now I believe, and any version number is most likely just coincidental at this point.

    It was already recently renamed to Desktop Software. I doubt they'll change it again so soon.

    But they need a good name that people will recognize. Something that sounds more consumer friendly. Something catchy. But I would put function over a new name... let's just hope the new desktop software (or whatever they end up calling it) works much better than the current stuff.
