Sorry if this was already opened somewhere else, but I just couldn't find it for the life of me in the search.

Since I upgraded my Z30 to 10.3.1 through Koodo.. I have never been able to connect to wifi. I was on a leak before the official OS and it worked just fine. I'm wondering if this is a known issue or if it's just my Z30 that's acting up.

    Thanks

PS: please feel free to move my post where appropriate

My Z30 Wifi is working fine.
Can you side load a different radio and see if that is the problem?

It's going back tomorrow if I cannot find a fix tonight.

Yep, I have this problem with my Passport. I'm sitting in Starbucks using their Wifi on my HTC One XL. 2 year old phone but Wifi connects. On my Passport, it only connects to another Wifi network that only lasts for 20 minutes. The Starbucks Wifi has a time limit of 24 hours. Huge difference (but doesn't work on my Passport after the OS update).

Have y'all tried a full reload of the OS? If not, connect to latest BlackBerry Link, back up your apps and data, then reload. You will be glad you did.

    Good luck.

I did the Link update, not OTA. I didn't wipe the Z30 first.

    Z30 STL100-5
    Software Release 10.3.1.1581
    OS Version 10.3.1.2267
    Radio Version 10.3.1.2268

It's been working fine with wi-fi.

Have you tried the hard reset (Volume Up + Volume Down held simultaneously until the Z30 reboots)?

Have you tried a different hotspot?

    As a last resort,

Backup, wipe the device and install 10.3.1.1581, does wi-fi work?

Restore from backup? Does wi-fi still work? Or did some backup settings screw up wi-fi?

My Q10 has no problems finding & connecting to my wifi, but it keeps dropping the connection & then reconnecting when under a load. Aka whenever I'm really using it

(never had this issue B4 10.3.1)

I recently updated to 10.3 OTA and was having major problems with my WI-FI. I couldn't stay connected for more than a few minutes at a time. I searched Crackberry and found were someone had the same WI-FI problems they said all they did was turn their phone off for a little while, then turn it back on and no more problems. I was hesitant that that would help, but figured I had nothing to lose. I turned my Z30 off for about 20 mins then turned it back on. That was 2 days ago and I have not lost WI-FI since. I am now really enjoying my update

    Wifi poor at best

Since the 10.3.1.xxx update my wifi keeps dropping and not reconnecting. Sometimes if I turn wifi off and back on it will connect then sometime have to reboot to enable it. This sucks.

Yea that's what I ended up doing in the end... hard reboot seems to have fixed the issue...

Hmmmm... but it's weird because it's not like it stopped working right after the update.. it worked then it stopped which makes it that much more confusing :s

Hard reset and reloading OS didn't work. Is there a WiFi antenna in the q5? What's the last stable radio version?

How do you do a full reload, is it the same as, return to factory settings, or a security wipe.

I'm on the latest official build on BB Z30, and since moving from 10.2.1 to 10.3.1, the wifi signal constantly drops. The router is an Actiontec v1000h (single band).

The problem gets worse, when I hold the device, or if I'm too close to my laptop and tablet. This sort of behaviour never existed before this latest update, as I had thoroughly tested everything. No other device in the household has issues. There are two Windows laptops (Asus and Acer), a Macbook Pro, two Androids (an older Samsung and a Moto G), iPhone 4s and iPad 4. All seem OK.

I have tried a security wipe, followed by a full restore, with no luck. Over the past two weekends, I reloaded the software on BB Link, did the OTA update again to 10.3.1. I then tested wifi before and after doing a partial restore (minus my settings), but observed no change. Hard reset (vol up + down) did nothing.

I would go back to 10.2.1, as wifi is my main source of connectivity on this device, but the latest update definitely has its advantages. It's generally smoother and a couple of apps I use work much better.

Hope this gets resolved soon. The fact that it doesn't happen on every device worries me.

This may sound silly but turn it off for about 20 to 30 minutes and then restart it. See if WI-FI improves. I also updated to 10.3 OTA and had major WI-FI problems. My connection would drop every few minutes, but all other smartphones and laptops in my home were working fine. Someone on Crackberry suggested it after it worked for him. I've had no problems with my WI-FI since. Now with the update I feel like I got a brand new phone. It's worth a try

I've also had constant wifi problems since upgrading to 10.3.1.1581.
Not only does it drop the connection, it sometimes completely forgets the login/password information. This is a hassle at work as our IT department insists on doing the wifi login themselves for security reasons. I went a year without having to re-login at work, and now 3 times since the 10.3.1 upgrade.

Same here, Z10 drops connection very often. And very often, like every other network gets me "limited connectivity".
There is few things that sometimes help.
    - setting static ip address
    - instead of dual band try setting 2.4 or 5ghz (test both to see which works).
Unfortunately there are cases where neither of these works and than only solution is to to disable mobile data and use only wifi.
