    Wifi direct and Miracast are still in Z10 OS despite no hardware supported-img_20140107_144414.png

    I have question. Why do Wifi Direct and Miracast exist in Z10 ROM while there os no support from the hardware? See the photo.

    It's in the core OS, in reality only the Texas instruments processor can handle miracast and wifi direct and the processor is only in the STL100-1

    Would be better if this option would be exclusively available only to stl100-1.however there is no option for it

    Wrong.

    The Galaxy S2 variants with S3 SoCs support Wi-Fi Direct (at least) and the S3 with S4 SoC supports both.

    Maybe it has something to do with the Radios they used in the other Z10, because mainstream OEMs manufacturers have supported Wi-Fi direct since 2010 with Qualcomm's units...

    Thought Wifi direct is supported on the z10, just mirracast not.

    Z30, a bit in the heavy side but the Carbonate beta case rocks!

    Yup, i thought also.There is lot on the Internet saying Z10 has WiFi-Direct ,thats why i was buying it. Great phone but i think when I knew before I went for the Z30 which supports miracast also. Now I wait for the next Flagship from BlackBerry

    Seems to be some problems with the CrackBerry backend handeling and rendering our quotations. Widespread problem problem and they are looking into it
