I can open a photo in my pictures app and I can edit. I can open a story from story maker in my videos app and can edit.

Why shouldn't I open a song in my music app and edit.

BlackBerry.... you have to answer me...

    Yeah, why shouldn't you?

We all know you're entitled to it and BlackBerry is depriving you of what's your right from birth.

How they are getting away with it boggles the mind...

Personally, I think the attitude is all wrong 'BlackBerry you have to answer me ' like say what?

Unfortunately it's the cultural divide hitting again.

Many posters on such as the BlackBerry page, from Asian and African countries say similar..."you must answer now "..."I want reply "..."answer immediately " etc etc. It's seems a normal thing for them to say.

Sadly, on that page, although a small group of us and BlackBerry answer and give help, very often the person doesn't even come back to acknowledge the help. It's frustrating to say the least, and leads to such as now, me taking a break from it.

But it is something I see most days.

thanks for all the replies, I was telling it in a funny way by "BlackBerry you have to answer me "

I post lots of serious threads, there will be thousands of views and very very few replies. Hence I tried to make a dramatic post. Apologies if it's inappropriate for some of you

And I'm not going away after starting a thread :-)

I was wondering when I can edit video which has both image sequence and audio, why BlackBerry does not allow me to edit just the music part..

I would love to make my own ring tones and background music for my stories with a music editor.

A PC comes with MS Paint and Windows Movie Maker, but not Audacity...

Basic photo touch ups and making a picture/audio slide show of your trip to (tourist trap) make sense for the average consumer, editing audio is a less common usage case.

I'm not quite sure what the OP intended, but I could see a reason to want to normalize volume or trim an audio clip - maybe even fade in/out. I use all those functions on my PC when I'm creating ringtones. It would be great to be able to do so directly from my phone.

It would but I'm quite happy that BlackBerry have left this open for third-party developers to work on because it is not a feature that would be used by the mainstream.

Not everyone uses BlackBerry express, but still, it attracted all. Things like this differentiates BlackBerry from others.. BlackBerry is labeled for productive guys and not a cool thing. Such things will sure attract crowd..

A heading like make your own ring tones will pull crowd

Still I respect your opinion, it has merits
