Q10: Whenever I'm presented with a confirmation dialog box ("I agree/Decline" "Cancel/Delete") the buttons do not work. I press the button repeatedly, but nothing happens. The box eventually goes away.

Which dialog boxes ? From the OS like "Permissions" ? Or from apps like "Google Services" on Android ?

Dialog boxes from Permissions, plus confirmations to delete IM discussion threads.

1st : Did you do a Hard Reset by keep pressing the volume up and down buttons until reboot ?

2nd : You have no other issue with your screen ? Did you have a case ? If yes, try without.

3rd : Can you check the app you gave "Run in the Background" permissions and deny them all before testing again ? (Restart the phone after changing the permissions)

1st: Eventually, if I wait long enough the dialog box goes away. Quicker than a hard reboot, though.
    2nd: Running my Q10 naked.
3rd: I haven't given any apps "Run in the Background" permission.
    Thanks for your help anyway.

The first suggestion was not to make the dialog box to GO away. It was to reset your RAM and iron out bugs, if any. So do that and then revert back here. Also, be specific on which app poses this issue.

    <<be specific on which app<<
Anytime I get a stark white dialog box that requires a decision, the buttons do not work. This includes:
    - deleting an IM message
    - I Agree/Decline buttons for shovelware apps (like Facebook, Evernote) in which I accidently press the app icon.
    - the BlackBerry Assistant (female robo voice) upgrade prompt that mysterious started the other day without me doing anything other than pick up the phone.

I don't see how resetting the RAM is going to fix these problems. I like the size and form factor of the Q10, but the OS is quirky.

Obviously, you have a software issue as you told us you used your phone naked and had no other issue with your screen. So the first step is a hard reset Please, do so. Just push both the volume up and down until reboot.

I have given up on the OP. He probably is not looking for fixing or troubleshooting the issue.

He's rather sit and keep complaining from the cocoon.
