I'm using the Classic, and it's fairly obvious that if I want to make sure that the app works after installed, i'd better just install it through Snap. The overwhelming majority of Android apps work flawlessly on the Classic, even with the square screen. They work better than if installed through Amazon, and sometimes they actually work better than the native BB10 app. All of which is a testament to them BlackBerry engineers.

Which brings up the question: why isn't Snap just preloaded on all BB10 BlackBerrys running 10.3 or later so users don't even have to sideload it? Better yet, why don't they just buy Snap? Everybody should have it, so we don't have to hear the canard "Blackberry doesn't have any apps" anymore.

This is not good enough to claim Android compatibility, especially, with new apps coming out on a regular basis. If you install Snap then you do so at your own risk. If Blackberry installs it then they are responsible for how it works. I doubt it's good enough to claim as real feature.

Snap explicitly violates Google's Terms of Service. If BlackBerry tried to offer it themselves they'd get a takedown notice immediately.

Snap also contravenes the BlackBerry World terms and conditions, probably because it contravenes Google TOS.

Well sort of. You can get apk files from sites other than Play or Amazon. Some are on github.com Rather than mess with registering for an app store just to give away an app, developers use their github.com account.
