    Hello!

I always thought that the business contacts an the private contacts are seperated, when the BB is linked to a BES10. So no app installed on the private side should be able to read (and use/abuse) the business contacts. Today I had to see, that a fresh install of WhatsApp on a Z10 with business profile simply listed all the business contacts.

Is WhatsApp breaking security rules of the OS, or is there some mistake in my thinking or installation?

To make it more precise: Whats App was installed in the private part of the Z10, not in the business "sandbox"! BB always proclaimed, that the business part (BB Balance) is locked againts the private part.

Obviously your BES admin has set the "Personal Apps Access to Work Contacts" - IT Policy to "all", which is no good idea.

Ideally it should be "none" or "only RIM apps".

If you google "Personal Apps Access to Work Contacts IT Policy", you'll (hopefully) find very quickly

KB33743-Work contacts are not displayed in Phone application in the Contacts tab on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone

Thank you, this was the right answer! I dont know why the default setting is to "all", when BB always says the BB Balance is secure... yes, it is secure after some settings I have to adjust manually and not by default ;-)

    Problem solved! :-)

The default setting is BlackBerry apps only. It was your IT guy/BES admin who decided that be the default. He had to choose that option from a drop down on the BES sever instead of leaving it blank.
