I ported over from an iPhone to a Silver Passport. Still getting used to it, but after I added my various accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Gmail, @icloud and work exchange mail) I end up with 4 or 5 each of my contacts. Obviously I have some duplicated (exchange from my desktop) but they have literally duplicated all. If I merge by name I end up with the name having 20 phone numbers (identical) listed under each name; if I merge by phone number my wife and kids disappear because they have the same home phone as me and then I get all their phones listed under my contact. My old BB Bold had excellent contacts management, but the BB10 version of it really sucks. For comparison I had the same contacts on my iPhone but it was not nearly this mess.

- is this BlackBerry attached to a work Exchange Server?

- does your work provide LYNC?

I found that I had a similar issue with my clients where LYNC would duplicate + contacts. I had my clients DELETE all their LYNC contacts within Outlook, s pic link below

You have the same contact lists on multiple syncs.
It works best if only one email service syncs contacts.

i manage that issue with :
I have gmail contact and made BACKUP (export outlook.csv ) in gmail, if NOT THEN WILL BE DELETED TO (they can be restored again if deleted by fault)!!!

Deleted all contacts with Contact Care (paid app) ,there must be free app to i just used that . And restore gmail backup OUTLOOK.CSV from file manager ,its strange they don't go to local contacts but they are there !?!? no sync gmail cont. or any other in settings.

This can be done if moved to local contacts to .
Im not shore how many contacts can sim handle !?!?
