    I find this very useful. Is this not technically posible on android and ios?

    Or most people simply not value this as much as I do?

    Or is it a patent thingy?

    Try Acompli Android and IOS app its Hub-like in functionality for unified inbox. Its just not a huge appeal to Android/IOS users, probably cause they are used to doing things the default way and haven't used Hub type apps.

    after reading the new feature in ios8, I'm pretty sure ios8.1 will have a hub and will call it apple innovation.

    Because Apple hasn't "invented" it yet. Wait for iOS 9. I think iMessage will end up becoming their version of the hub.
