I just turned on my bluetooth to search for my headset and look at all the BlackBerrys that showed up! It's a shame they aren't all BB10 devices. (I was Inside Vaughan Mills)
Who said no one used BlackBerrys anymore?-img_00000001.png

BlackBerry don't die easily. A lot of people I know are still using the non BB 10 BlackBerry.

Interesting the list of legacy devices. I think I'll try that at several high traffic areas in Durham region.

There is a reason so many people are still on legacy devices. A large segment of BlackBerry's core market do not upgrade. They buy a new phone when theirs dies.

That's because they keep doing what their owners want for years. I still have Blackberry's back to 9700, and 9000 that still work just fine.

I've had many generations of BlackBerrys and none died until my first Z10

Or because the majority of them are corporate devices. Most corporate devices up until the last year or so have been legacy BlackBerry devices. Many companies have now begun to offer iPhone and Android devices to their employees which is further eroding the BlackBerry consumer base.

Seek not to find the answer... just understand the question.

If they bash blackberry it is probably because they are first of all thinking of the older Blackberry devices, just like i would bash the older iphones and androids.

Right. This has absolutely nothing to do with BlackBerry devices' longevity.

YES. This is what I always tell people... that if they're bashing BlackBerry, they're probably thinking of some cheap old Curve or something. Or maybe they loaded up their BlackBerry with games and music and a bunch of other stuff that it really wasn't optimized for (compared to an iPhone or Android, where media consumption was made a priority).

The new BlackBerrys are totally different, all new, and I always whip out my Z10 or Q10 when my friends give me a hard time for "still using a BlackBerry."

They really should do something like this. They should treat what customers they do have left like we matter.
