    Default Whatsapp in the HUB

How do you set up Whatsapp so it is incorporated into the HUB? Is it possible to do that?

My messages show up in the hub in the notification section, not a separate WhatsApp section. This was like that from install. I don't think there is a setting, it should just work.

    It's automatic. In Notifications.

I wish it had its own logo and section like BBM, email, etc.

Right now it appears in the same area as app updates

Notifications is a catch-all. Don't see what difference it would make.
After all, it's obvious when you see a familiar name as opposed to a product name.

Also it needs to be integrated more into the BlackBerry platform. If I see a picture and click "Share", whatsapp isn't an option, so instead I have to save it and manually go into whatsapp in order to share it with a friend

Erm... when you see the picture, can you iMessage it if you have an iPhone?

Sharing links and sharing media are very separate things.

Sorry I don't follow. I can't iMessage on my BlackBerry as far as I know. And whether I share a file or a link whatsapp still doesn't show up as an option

My bad. I now see what the question is. Indeed on Android phones, the Share function would gave incorporated whatsapp as an option.

I guess we should be happy that it is there and if enough people use it, they will integrate it further. Maybe they are waiting for the install base to reach a high enough number.

The thing with Hub integration is that BBRY still has to release the API for deeper Hub integration like BBM, FB etc. are doing now. I'm sure WhatsApp will have his own place in the Hub after it's released and a update is released. But for now, this is better than no WhatsApp in the Hub at all, right?

Ya, but for now it works really well already. You can go right into the chat from the hub without launching the app.

Sure, having it's own place/icon in the hub will be nice for a future update though

Amen to that! I like the fact that conversations can be opened right from the hub! I haven't done it myself yet, but I'm glad they've implemented it.

Not sure if this a coincident or just the gmail account, but since I installed Whatsapp, I get no email on the phone. In the settings, it says it is not connected, a when I try to connect, it won't.

if any of you get a stuck notification of the bell in the hub from whatsapp, try opening a real notification like an update in BB world. that will clear it.
