Check any one of the three thousand threads about this subject. The developer of WA is pulling the plug on it, not BlackBerry.

Guys kindly have a check and verify properly with WhatsApp application as it's saying BlackBerry Z10 software below 10.0 will be Unsupportable.

That means software above 10.0 will be supported else we need to wait for the update
I think we should not shocked and maintain peace and just wait & watch about the result

No no no no no..
You're reading it completely wrong, it means the App won't run on below OS 10.1, it doesn't mean it will be supported by updates and doesn't mean it will still work after December.

Remember when Facebook for BlackBerry 10 was supposed to end? I am still getting full hub notifications with my unsupported BlackBerry Facebook app after all these months.

Remember when Facebook for BlackBerry 10 was supposed to end? I am still getting full hub notifications with my unsupported BlackBerry Facebook app after all these months.

But Facebook never shut down access itself. WhatsApp is shutting down access. They'll check what OS you're using and block you from using their service from unsupported OS's. That's what the main WhatsApp for BB10 said. Therefore it's a fact.

Switch your phone to Android or iPhone than it will be supported.

And NO for any BlackBerry os10 device after the 31st December 2016.

Some are using the apk version of Android on their BBOS10 devices, but not sure if it's working well...

I like BlackBerry Z10 a load..cannot change set just coz of one application. Guess BlackBerry has plan to boost sale of other versions so it won't support WhatsApp for time being.

The same was with Facebook..now Face 10 is back in z10

As I said, twice, it's just OS Version that the App will install and run on, Nothing, I repeat nothing to do with service support

I installed the current Android version on my Passport last night using Snap. It works perfectly. I actually only installed it so I could opt out of sharing to Facebook. I will most likely delete my account since I don't want my phone number shared with FB. I was unable to opt out, or delete my account via the BB10 version.

Dude, it's seem just the opposite, Whatsapp is dropping BlackBerry10 because the OS won't support the new API's that new versions of whatsapp need to introduce new features.
