I was taking a look at the device monitor and under the CPU tab I noticed a 'secure network' (rete sicura-just under profile manager) label.. It showed a low impact on both CPU and memory and it shows some MB downloaded both under 3G and under WiFi..
What is that? Is it a sort of encrypted network for BBM?!?

Oh, and I'm under 10.2.1 so it has nothing to do with 10.3 I suppose ;-) Glad to know I am not the only one! Maybe related to Blend also?!?

Nice to hear that But..there's a but..if it is related to Blend, why I can see the app downloading/uploading data even if Blend it is not yet working on my Q10 (10.2.1)?

My read is, your device is managed via a BES 10 MDM.

I have it too, I think it's just the baked in "pseudo-vpn connection" to the BlackBerry server (i.e. The little BlackBerry icon that allows things like BBM to work).

Interesting, but my Q10 is not managed via a BES MDM

That seems an appropriate explanation to me.

Has something to do with VODAFONE ITALY, here is an article about it... seems they installed it on all smartphones BB, ANDROID, and IOS.

Not for Blend, rather for Link so far I can tell.
Or it's simply the cypher layer for Wi-Fi... Or the encrypted process for BlackBerry World... doesn't really matter

It's only on my Passport with Blend that asks me if I want to join my secure network.

That's been there through all of 10.2.1. I've always seen it in the App Manager and it's always used some cpu, occupied some memory and used some data.

I'm on AT&T, my own phone not on BES, and Link turned off on the phone. I do have an Exchange account synced over EAS.

It could serve as a catch all for several data connection types. Could also be the connection to the BlackBerry NOC - as seen by the little 4-dot BlackBerry logo on the screen.
