Would it allow Android apps to make use of that instead of the BB10 keyboard?

Yep, you would have to enable that in the Android settings via an app like Ghost Commander or an Android launcher and it will then use the Google Keyboard on all your Android apps

No, they would still use the BlackBerry keyboard. The Android keyboard specifically needs to be set in the Android side of the options which can only be accessed by using a launcher and enabling them. So, in short. Nothing would happen simply by downloading a keyboard and installing it. Further action would need to be taken to actually enable it.

What would happen if I downloaded Google Keyboard?-img_20140210_070717.png

On the main screen, tap applications
Then scroll down in that list till you see Settings with Android settings icon
    Long press and launch it

Thanks! What happens if I move apps to sd card from there? Will it just move the app data around in device memory or will it actually store stuff in SD Card?

I can vouch, the Google keyboard is terrible. I replaced it after a week of frustration in my Android.
    BB10 keyboard is Simply better.

Don't do it. Right now moving an app to the sd card renders it unusable. You'll have to reinstall the app for it to work again.

I agree but the only reason I've considered downloading it is because I've had a few problems with the BB10 keyboard when I use Android apps. I completely agree the BB10 keyboard screws the competition.
