    Default What is IMS connection

    hi guys ive just installed 10.2.1....and have a new icon in the connections setting, "IMS" do we know what this is?

    Hmm. Searched Google and all "ims" seems to refer to an IBM information management system. Not sure what it is in regards to BlackBerry. Interested in knowing as well.

    IP Multimedia Subsystems. It's a system used to allow for VoIP, Multicast, etc. Basically allowing you to use multiple networks at the same time and keeps everything in sync communications-wise.

    So are BlackBerry to implement it? If so on what? Wifi calling maybe?

    Could be a ton of things. WiFi calling. WiDi. Etc. We could see an AppleTV-like device in our near future that we can push EVERYTHING to.
