    Hi guys,

I went outside the metropolitan area where I live to take care of some work related stuff in a rural/industrial town. I saw this icon to the left of 4GLTE on my home screen. What is it?

What is this 'House icon' on my Home Screen-img_20140404_162632.png

Hope you didn't forget to post the screenshot because you were in a hurry to go watch the Arsenal vs Everton match? Lol just had to say it. I'm an Arsenal fan too.

Sorry, I thought the photo was uploaded. Had to do it from my laptop, since the CB10 app didn't upload the screenshot

Might be that a Network extender is in range? I could be wrong, but I believe that it has something to do with the setup for some providers in regional or remote locations.

Some providers also provide network extenders to houses / buildings where there might be weak or no signal.

I believe Verizon offer extended networks (quick Google search) and that icon appears when you are connected to an extender. Mainly found in remote/regional areas or areas with poor coverage and no tower around.

Seeing as you were in a regional / industrial town, I'd say this is what it was.

Hmmm ok. This seems plausible because I was at a huge bio-tech facility, and took the screen shot in the conference room. So maybe Verizon Wifi was available in the conference room?

Verizon have probably fitted out the building so people can get cell reception inside.

Most major shopping centres near me (Australia) have started doing this with the likes of Telstra and Optus, which allows people to get 4g access under layers and layers of iron and concrete and car park basements etc.

I'm not sure what the icon is!

But as for your app not posting photos, go to application permissions and make sure that you give CB permission to access your stored files, otherwise it can't upload! I had this problem too and that was the fix

    "...to the left of 4GLTE..."

Regardless, that's a range extender icon, as has been mentioned.
