Just out of curiosity, so far I've squeezed out about 12hours of usage before I get to the below 20% battery level but I notice that Standby is using about 14% of my battery. I would think not much is happening when in standby but 14% seem high...any insights?

    I'm on Z30STA100-2/10.2.1.3247.
What is going when the phone is in Standby?-img_20140814_202727.png

... maintaining a connection the the wireless provider, maintaining a connection with a Wi-Fi hotspot if connected, maintaining connection with BlueTooth devices that are connected. Basically all the stuff that makes it a connected device. The alternative would be to put it in real standby, essentially turn it off, but you would not receive any notifications or phone calls until you brought it out of standby.

My favorite function I use most is "Airplane Mode". Anytime where I go somewhere for an extended period that has no signal I turn that on as it disconnects blue tooth, wi-fi, NFC and anything else that would try and connect to the outside world. That is a big battery saver in that scenario.
