N4BB.com posted a great video with a comparison of Picstory running on a Torch, and Picstory running on a Dev Alpha prototype. Although I've never used the app myself, the version running on the DA seems so much more refined and smoother.
A good point is brought up as well in regards to Cascades and how it will allow users to have a consistent experience within all the different apps. Once you know how to use BB10, you'll know how to use all apps developed with Cascades. You don't have to figure out how each app works. This should help tremendously with simplifying the BB10 experience, combating the notion that there will be a "steep learning curve".
