Waiting for BB10

Can't really vote yet. I'm in no hurry to unload my 9900. And I gots to have a keyboard, so it all depends on what types of BB10 devices drop and when. At the moment I'm more curious to see one than I am to actually get one.

I'm in the same boat as you man. On a 9700. And getting ready to switch to BB10 as soon as possible.

I will stick with my trusty 9900 until something with QNX (bb10) comes out that is like the 9900 in the same or slightly smaller or larger formfacter. I'm in no suich rush and don't like the latest greatest. Heck, I have a few computers that are years old (12+ desktop, 5+ tablet pc, 3+ netbook) and I watch months go by where newer computers fly past as my hardware performs like brand new each time.

Until then, I'll stick with what I have knowing it works well and meets my needs.

The choice of options will skew results. Of course the first three options (and maybe even the last) will get the majority of the votes. In order for one to select "switch to competition" you have to upgrade first don't you.

I picked to switch but obviously I have to upgrade from my current BB6. The options given are responces to two different questions.

I will be waiting.

1) I am waiting till my contract expires in August 2013. Don't want to extend it cause I want to go with someone like Koodo. Hopefully they still have deals like they have been pushing recently.

2) Just got the Torch 9860, paid cash for it, but its a fantastic piece and it keeps me going for the next 18 months easily. Plus my 9700 is there as a backup.

3) I want to see how the launch of BB10 goes. I will be assessing whether or not its worth it to stick with Blackberry platform or switch to iOS, W8 or Ick Android. Most likely it will come down to BB or W8. Dark Horse iOS.

But yea come September 1, 2013 I will be up for grabs so RIM don't disappoint. You have ample time to retain me!

Currently, my contract is over, so I could go for a bold 9900. I want to actually, because it's such a beautiful device. The only thing is, to make it affordable I would need a 2 year contract. But that would mean that I would go without an OS10 device for more than a year! I am not sure if I can survive that...
