I want to send a video over BBM and Whatsapp, and also email. In order to do so via all of these mediums I have to split my video into multiple parts.

Is there an easier way to do this than using the built in video editor? I'm finding that difficult to use because it doesn't display the times when truncating the video... I want to split it into 15 second chunks, but I have to guess at where 15 seconds is.

This whole process seems very tedious.

Or just do what normal people do: Dump the video on a server somewhere and send the URL.

Don't know about the other two, but email was not designed for sending large binary attachments.

I use an app called video shrinker to make them under 16 Mb. It's a paid app but it works great. It takes a while if it's a big video though.

Upload your video to dropbox/public folder, then share the link.

Ha ha. I'm pretty sure if it was a 5 minute video. Your friend would look appreciate you sending 20 video clips of 15seconds each.
