    Hey guys,

I bought a USB OTG SD card reader today to view and transfer photos between my DSLR and my phone, and although it detects and works fine on both my z30 running 10.3.1.1151 and passport running 10.3.0.1418, I cant seem to see thumbnails when viewing the files within folders, which is important because i have hundreds of photos captures on my DSLR camera at any one time.

I used the same card reader on my friends Samsung Note 3 and found that it did preview or have thumbnails in the file manager/explorer.

    Any suggestions?

Are you using the BlackBerry File Manager to view the contents of the cards?
If so, try switching the View to Grid, bottom to the right of the Search icon.

I'm pretty sure the BlackBerry file manager won't show thumbnails in this case. I find the same thing when using OTG or viewing my computer files through Link. Perhaps I just need to wait longer for the thumbnails to load?

I'll be able to double check when I get home later, I don't have my USB-OTG cable at work.
    Will update.

Gah, correct... I couldn't get it to work.
I also tried some other file managing apps, those that could see the USB device couldn't view thumbnails, rest couldn't see the device.

I wouldn't say that there's no fix. It seems it was designed that way. Not to be an apologist, just saying.

Just wondering if an eye-fi card in the camera would allow a thumbnail view. My Pentax Flucard allows for tethering and thumbnail view.
