I've been looking around in the forums but couldn't find an answer to this:

My z10 is broken and I've gotten a refund.
but I want to buy a z10 again or a z30 (depending on price) but since I'm going to live in jordan for a few months in 2014 I was wondering if my phone would work there without any problems. I'm just asking because there seem to be different versions stl-100/200 etc. and I'm kind of irritated if that also means that some versions do not work in some countries.

I would check to see what carriers are available in Jordan ie gsm or cdma and what frequencies they run vs your home country.

I went to Jordan for a trip and my phone picked up Zain no problem. Z10 STL100-3. They only have GSM service, no CDMA.

well I'm in germany so all I can get is a stl-100-2....also I will only stay in jordan for 3 months, so I need my phone working in both countries perfectly (not only gsm)...
are there any explanations on why those versions even exist? also, is it the same thing with the z30? different versions and stuff?
