After numerous attempts to install 10.3.1.1767 on my z30 via BBlink finally installed but now my phone keeps prompting me to update to the same release I already have. I checked on the about section and it says I have installed 10.3.1.1767 so why is still asking me to install ?

Very strange. Did you already try giving the Z a hard reboot using the volume up and down buttons?

A SR often consists of a few or several downloads that should be installed sequentially, just like (numbered f.i. 6/8...) patches in your MS Windows environment.
Just don't interrupt these processes for obvious reasons, but keep on installing as your system suggests.
It's not clear to me if BlackBerry Link whether your Z30 is giving you the message. Another question is: is the strength of your cable or WiFi signal offered stable and sound?
I suggest you disconnect your device from BlackBerry Link, close Link down, perform a few resets of your Z30 device. After these steps you could make an OTA (over the air) software update (using WiFi) directly on your Z30 (settings -� software update) just to be shure the update is completely executed.
Don't forget to let your AC wall power plugged into your device. After completion of the update give it a few hours to settle in and perform regular restarts or resets.

At least it can give you a free holiday feeling, unexpected and inexpensive.
New SR's (System Releases) tend to be complicated as they execute in the background, so you're not aware of them in the first place, and when things have changed, one doesn't know when and why... Very confusing indeed.
So give your system a few days to settle 'in depth' and sometimes do a reset or restart.
But must of all: enjoy this marvelous OS10.3.1.1767.
